[Report] Early Warning on the Danger of Armed Conflict in Northeast Asia (2nd edition)

PEACEMOMO and TEPI are releasing an updated version of the report, , expressing continuous concern about the escalating military tensions in Northeast Asia.

Avoiding conflict is a much wiser way to deal with it. It is the conflict prevention efforts of all citizens that raise the alarm about the arms race in Northeast Asia, which is running like a game of chicken, that are direly needed to create a better life for all. Moreover, it is the responsibility and right of citizens who seek safety.

PEACEMOMO and TEPI warn of the possibility of war, noting a number of events that are exacerbating military tensions in Northeast Asia, including armament build-ups, military exercises, and military alliances. At the same time, we propose to firmly confront all acts that will bring another war to the world and to speak out together. We will call this process of speaking out together “early warning”. Citizens have the responsibility and authority to demand that state actors choose peace.
