PEACEMOMO and TEPI are releasing a report, <Early Warning on the Danger of Armed Conflict in Northeast Asia>, expressing serious concern about the escalating military tensions in Northeast Asia. Once an armed conflict starts, it makes enormous sacrifices, and it becomes even more difficult to reconcile and resolve the conflict, which is why predicting and warning of the risk of armed conflict in advance is essential for everyone's safety. PEACEMOMO and TEPI warn of the possibility of war, noting a number of events that are exacerbating military tensions in Northeast Asia, including armament build-ups, military exercises, and military alliances. At the same time, we propose to firmly confront all acts that will bring another war to the world and to speak out together. We will call this process of speaking out together "early warning". Citizens have the responsibility and authority to demand that state actors choose peace.
